Getxo, 11.10.2023 – The intermodal logistics company Robert Kukla in Spain has taken on a sponsorship to promote young footballers. Specifically, the company is supporting the Arenas Club in the Basque city of Getxo and will sponsor its football school and U19 team for the 2023/2024 season. In total, the sponsorship will support more than 400 children per week.
Robert Kukla has a personal connection to the city of Getxo, which borders the provincial capital Bilbao. The company’s first Spanish office, which now employs 21 people, has been located there since 2016.
The Arenas Club, which has existed since 1909, is one of the original founders of the Spanish LA LIGA, the highest Spanish football league. It won the Copa del Rey in 1919, the only all-Spanish championship at the time, and reached the final three other times (1917, 1925, 1927). The club currently plays in Segunda División B, the third highest division in Spain.
